The Best Dive Bar in NYC

Dive 75, UWS, NYC

There’s nothing better than a good dive bar with just enough grunge, darkness, cheap beer and yes, even through it’s diveyness, personality.

I love a good dive bar because the people there are usually locals who just want to hang and get their drunk on for cheap. The lower east side is a gold mine of dive bars but my personal favorite is Dive 75, so perfectly and simply named….a dive on 75th.

I’ve been there so many times and just love its vibe. Big space, not packed, easy to get a stool at the bar or at one of the many tables around the bar, and the crowd is cool, low key and doing their own thing.

The beers are cheap and there’s a huge selection, great bartenders, hershey kisses are scattered around (great for munchies), there’s a jukebox, aquarium and board games.

Ok so maybe not the diviest bar in the world, despite it’s name, but a great chill spot with a lot of personality. So if you find yourself on the upper west side looking for a place to go, stop by Dive 75. It’s perfect at the end of the night when you absolutely must have one more.
